Pennsylvania Sports Betting Revenue Surges 60.7% to $54.5 Million in February

(AsiaGameHub) –   Sports betting revenue in Pennsylvania climbed sharply in February 2026, even as overall betting volume dropped. Updated data from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board confirms that sportsbooks converted a smaller total handle into a much larger monthly profit.

Good to Know

  • Sportsbooks in Pennsylvania recorded $54.5 million in gross revenue for February, representing a 60.7% increase from the $34 million reported one year prior.
  • Overall sports betting handle fell 21.7% to $592.5 million, the lowest monthly total recorded since August.
  • Operators posted a 9.2% hold rate in February, which is more than double the hold rate logged in February 2025.

Bettors in Pennsylvania placed a combined $592.5 million in wagers during February, but sportsbooks retained a far larger share of this money than they did a year earlier. Gross revenue hit $54.5 million, boosted by a much stronger hold rate and reduced promotional spending.

One year ago, the Super Bowl outcome hurt in-state operators after the Eagles won the NFL championship, cutting sportsbook revenue by more than $6 million. That financial pressure was absent in February 2026. Sportsbooks earned $24.7 million from wagers on the Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

Online Sportsbooks Drove Nearly All of the Sector’s Revenue

Online betting continued to anchor the state’s market. Mobile sportsbooks processed $568.9 million of the total wagered amount, and generated all but $513,600 of the sector’s total monthly revenue. Retail betting locations played only a minor role by comparison.

Reduced promotional spending also helped operators retain more revenue. Sportsbooks spent 37% less on promotional wagers than they did in February 2025. This also resulted in a much higher tax haul for the state. Pennsylvania collected $12.9 million from $37.3 million in taxable sports betting revenue, after taking in less than $3 million in the same month one year earlier.

FanDuel Remained on Top While Fanatics Held Third Place

FanDuel once again led the state’s market, posting the highest February handle at $191.5 million. A 12.6% hold rate converted that volume into $24.2 million in gross revenue. Even with this strong result, monthly revenue was still roughly $3 million lower than it was in January.

DraftKings came in second, with $179.4 million in total wagers and $14.5 million in revenue, equal to an 8.1% hold rate. Fanatics stayed in third position, logging a $49.5 million handle and $4 million in total revenue.

BetMGM generated $3.2 million in revenue from $40.7 million in wagers, while bet365 cleared $3.1 million from a handle of nearly $35 million. BetRivers and theScore Bet both came close to $2 million in gross revenue, and Caesars finished the month with just under $1 million in revenue.

Pennsylvania’s overall gaming industry also notched a strong February. Total gaming revenue reached $547.1 million, up 14.6% from one year earlier. iGaming revenue rose 15.5% to $239.9 million, which helped generate more than $111 million in state tax revenue from online slots, table games, and poker.
